I just listed my first ebook on etsy! I’m so excited! I worked long and hard on this, and it was a real labor of love. I wanted to write and illustrate a book that would inspire girls and women. This girl didn’t chase after a husband or a man, she didn’t take the easy way, and when she was accused of lying, she stood up for herself! I love Bernadette as I do holy people of every religion.
This print is now for sale!
This Ocelot is the result of my most recent trip to the small Orange County zoo in OC California. The zoo houses mostly local animals that would not be able to survive in the wild for various reasons. Although the ocelot is not a native to the region, he has found a home here. Most days he can be found in his favorite hangout: a raised, hollowed out log.
This is the first painting i did of Bernadette. I had come across a cache of photos of her in a book that i didnt even know existed. I threw my back out lifting something and painted this picture while i convelesced. https://www.etsy.com/listing/68738809/st-bernadette?ref=cat_gallery_1
